meditation

Did you know just two minutes of simple meditation practice in the morning is enough to change the entire trajectory of your day?

I’m going to teach you a simple meditation practice that you can start using right away to experience more bliss, ease, and efficiency in your days.

What’s the first thing you do in the morning? You probably grab the phone, check texts, emails, social media, or turn on the news, right?

Did you know that by doing that, you are downloading an anxiety and fear-based consciousness at the start of your day?

This download of anxiety first thing in the morning jolts your nervous system, raises cortisol, puts you in a fight or flight response, and then stays with you the rest of the day.

There’s another way to start the day.

Two minutes is all you need to have a totally different experience, grounding you in the emotional and psychological foundation of inner peace.

Here’s how this simple meditation practice works: When you wake up, before you do anything else, spend two minutes with your eyes closed, feeling the sensation of your breath. Notice the inhale, notice the exhale. Identify where you feel it in your body.

When your mind wanders and your thoughts begin to drift (which is normal and natural), gently bring your attention back to your breath.

You can use a timer or just your intuition for this. When the two minutes are up, slowly open your eyes, taking your time to look around the room. Notice how you feel. Notice the difference between starting your day this way versus how you do it now.

You just did a simple meditation and it only took two minutes.

Well done! Those brief moments of conscious stillness initiate your day in an extremely beneficial way. Meditation calms and settles the nervous system, alleviates stress, and activates your rest and digestion response. It relieves tension in the mind and body.

A simple meditation in the morning sets the foundation for your entire day. You’ll be more peaceful, have an easier time making decisions (because your intuition is activated), and feel more grounded.

A student of my bi-weekly mediation class shares, “My practice of 2-12 minutes, the past year and a half, has greatly improved my life!”

The simple act of being still, focusing your attention on your breath, and intentionally breathing is an incredible tool. Meditation profoundly changes our minds’ structure, rewiring the brain’s neurological pathways.

There is so much information on a simple meditation practice’s profound impact on every aspect of life. The resources are endless.
