I haven’t meditated in about a week, yet I’m teaching a workshop on it tomorrow night… ?!
I share this to vulnerably display my humanness. I share it to invite peace of mind that you don’t always have to do it perfectly, have it right, or all figured out. Especially when it comes to your health and wellness.
One of the main things I am always teaching my clients in my coaching practice is how to let go of perfectionism. It keeps us stuck, prevents progression, and the expectation of it is enough to hold yourself back for a very long time from the things you want to achieve.
I don’t want that for you. I want you to see how a little bit goes a long way. I want you to see that I don’t have a perfect meditation practice, and neither should you.
This applies and extends to everything else in life. ‘Cuz how we do one thing is how we do everything. Rather than expecting yourself to have a perfect diet, or a perfect exercise routine, or a perfect relationship, etc., what if you instead just met yourself right where you were? And paused.
And decided you were okay with it…
I imagine it would create more ease in life, and lift a significant amount of weight (energetically, emotionally, physically)
Whether you’re new to meditation, have been meditating for some time, interested in learning different techniques, have no idea but want to learn, fell off and want to get back on… All experience levels are welcomed!
You’ll gain greater confidence in approaching meditation, learn the way that works best for you (because just like everything else, you have to find what works for your individual Self), you’ll walk away with various tools and resources to immediately start your own unique meditation practice. Never again feel worried if you’re doing it “right”.
It’ll be a relaxing evening with great company. Light snacks and drinks will be provided. Pay what you wish. Bring a friend. Friends who meditate together, stay together 🙂
